Drivers in and out of Ruddington are finding themselves stuck in further queues this week due to new roadworks which appeared unexpectedly on Clifton Lane.
It’s after a gas escape was detected on the bridge over Fairham Brook on Sunday (4th September). Workers from Cadent have been there since – attempting to trace and repair the leak – with 24-hour temporary traffic lights in use now the road has been dug up.
Today, a notification from Via East Midlands has revealed these works are expected to remain in place until this Friday, 9th September, meaning hold-ups are likely to continue along Clifton Lane & Clifton Road, especially at peak times.
Nottingham City Transport’s Navy 3 and CT4N’s 22 & 23 buses are also liable to delays – although this is the penultimate week these CT4N services will run, with their routes having been axed altogether after the September 16th.
